Natalie Dormer
(born 11 February 1982) is an English actress from England. She has won an
Empire Award and been nominated for two Gemini Awards, two Critics' Choice
Awards, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dormer was born in Reading
(Berkshire) and made her television debut playing Anne Boleyn on the Showtime
series The Tudors. This role has earned her acclaim. She made her stage debut
in the production Sweet Nothings (2010) and she played the Duchess York in
Madonna's film W.E. (2011), Private Lorraine in Captain America The First
Avenger (2011). After Miss Julie (2012) in the Young Vic, was highly and
praised. Dormer received international recognition and accolades for her
performance as Margaery Tyrell on the HBO series Game of Thrones (2012-2016)
and Cressida in the two final installments of The Hunger Games franchise
(2014-2015) and are among the highest-grossing of her films. She also voiced of
Onica in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2018), Sara Price Jess Price in The
Forest (2016), as well as Irene Adler/Moriarty from CBS's Elementary (2013)-15.
The actress was recognized for her character in the mini-series Penny Dreadful:
City of Angels (2020). Dormer was born on 11 February 1982 in Reading,
Berkshire (England), as the daughter of Gary Dormer & Claire Richards.
She is also the younger sister of Samantha Dormer and Mark Dormer.
