Anita Ekberg

 

Kerstin Aita Marianne (Swedish pronunciation (listen) 29/09/1931 until 11/01/2015) was an Swedish actress who was well-known for her attractive and striking physique. Her performance as Sylvia in Federico Fellini's 1960 film La Dolce Vita (1960), made her well-known. Ekberg was born in Sweden on 29 September 1931. She was the sixth child of eight. In her teens, Anita worked as a fashion model. Ekberg participated in the Miss Malmo competition in 1950 following the advice of her mother. This led to her being selected for the Miss Sweden contest which she won. Despite not speaking much English the contestant traveled to the United States to compete for the 1951 Miss Universe title (an unofficial pageant at that time, the pageant was officially launched in 1952). Ekberg did not win the Miss Universe pageant. However, she was one six semi-finalists. Universal Studios offered her the chance to sign a starlet contract. Ekberg was an Universal starlet, where she learned dance, drama, and elocution. She was briefly seen in The Mississippi Gambler (1953), Abbott and Costello Go to Mars (1953) (playing a woman in Venus), Take Me to Town (1953), and The Golden Blade (1953).

Meredith Salenger is an actress and writer, producer, and activist who was born and raised in Malibu, CA.   She began her professional acting career at the age of 10 playing an orphan with dancing and singing in the film "Annie"(1982), directed by John Huston.   At 14 she starred in "The Journey of Nattygann" with John Cusack (1982), and Ray Wise (1985).    Amber Leigh Lancaster was born September 19, 1980. She is an American actress, model, and interior designer. She is most well-known for her role in the role of Jenny Swanson in MTV's The Hard Times alongside RJ Berger. Lancaster was born in Tacoma, Washington. She was a student at Franklin Pierce High School in Tacoma. In 1998, she was named Miss Washington Teen USA. She was then invited to join the Sea Gals, the cheerleading squad of the Seattle Seahawks football team.
