Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress from the United States. She is well-known for her performances on American daytime television, as well as occasional guest appearances on television and made-for-television movies. Sofer won an Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for her performance as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. She has been playing Quinn Fuller since 2013 on CBS the soap drama The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). After the divorce of her parents Sofer's family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer moved with her brother David and her father to Teaneck in New Jersey. But, by the time Sofer was five years old, they lived in Western Pennsylvania. Their family lived in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. In the following years, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is co-educational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey in the town where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. After graduation from North Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as the manager of an ensemble. Her first major role was as Rocky McKenzie in the daytime soap show Loving (1988-91). Perhaps her most well-known role is that of Lois Cerullo, a nurse on General Hospital from December 15 the 24th of September 1993 to September 24 the 24th of September, 1996. Then, she appeared as in guest appearance on the show (February 7-17, 1997; September 30th - October 2nd 1997). Her portrayal of the outrageous Lois received Sofer an award. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding Supporting actress in a Drama Series. In May 2013, it was announced that Sofer was set to join the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful with a brand new role as Quinn Fuller; her first episode aired on the 12th of July. Sofer has been a guest cast member or guest star in a range of popular prime-time TV shows, including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest on The Chronicle, Ed and Friends. The show's first episode aired on the 12th of July.
